Experience for yourself why Tutto Bene Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
is one of the most popular places to dine out in Christchurch.

For a lively dining experience, Tutto Bene Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria in the heart of Merivale is one of the most popular restaurants in Christchurch.

As you step through the doors, you are transported to a “little piece of Italy”; a lovingly-amassed collection of Italian memorabilia adorns the walls, strains of Italian music fill the air and the atmosphere is bustling.

The culinary vision at Tutto Bene is to create dishes where the ingredients shine through – fresh and authentic.  The hard-working team prepares many ingredients in-house, including smoked salmon, smoked chicken, Italian sausage, gnocchi, lasagne, ricotta, marscapone, ciabatta, grissini, gelato, sorbet and biscotti.

The menu is varied; delicious main courses (including steak and lamb) sit alongside pasta dishes and Tutto Bene’s renowned hand-stretched pizza.  An extensive Italian wine list completes the picture.

Tutto Bene has long been a firm favourite for groups with set menus tailored to the occasion.

During the warmer months, the al fresco dining area, overlooking a native garden and stream is a popular spot.

“That’s Amore”

We had a late function on a sunday night at Tutto Bene of 60 people. Fab food, atmosphere and service, and a great place to host a large group function. Bit of a fave for a dinner with group of friends too. The new owners are doing a fantastic job of keeping an institutional Christchurch eatery one of the top Italian restaurants in town. Can’t wait for some alfresco wining and dining in the newly renovated courtyard this summer!

We were here again on sunday 21-09-14 with 2 friends that never have been in a Italian restaurant.
I had the Filetto di Manzo as a mains and I can honestly say that it it was the most tender perfectly cooked steak I EVER had. Been all over the word and years in Italie and sometimes you find a special situation that is worth mentioning. This evening was one of those. I like to have a few more garlic cloves with my warm olives though. And this time we had some Italian music that set the right ambiance. We will certainly be back to try the rest of the new menu. “Noisy, full of life and the food is good.”

I live in this city and I return to Tutte Bene often. Always busy, noisy and crowded and that is part of the attraction. No whispering over a candlelit white tablecloth here. The food is consistent, about as Italian as you can get outside of Italy or the USA, and the service is good. Deserves its popularity. Make reservations.

i am hardcore pasta lover and tutto bene is the only restaurant i will recommend for anyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful italian night out. the service is amazing, the food we ordered was the seafood past and my god it is just amazing, the mussels, grilled prawns, calamari rings in the pasta makes it truly world class. its very hard to get a table during the weekend so always remember to reserve.

love this place… highly recommended!!!
